Transcribed solos of Thelonious Monk
For educational, research purposes alone, here will be offered transcriptions of solos for the magnificent compositions of Thelonious Monk. The compositions of Monk, and his major innovations in music harmony and rhtythm are of inestimable importance for the history of jazz and improvised music. A major figure in the innovations of bebop, Monk continued his creative spirit to take jazz, music in even more uniquely innovative directions. Any study or assessment of jazz and improviced msuc needs to give full consideration to Monk's innovations.
